Description
We recommend these inks for printing on water-repellent surfaces. Such as umbrellas, raincoats, visibility vests, sports bags and so on.
A common characteristic of these materials is that they are difficult printable. But with the recommended special inks (Apollo Nylon Bag / Nylon Flex), high-quality prints can be made on their surface either with a one-component solution or, for better adhesion, with a two-component solution.
Apollo Nylon inks are designed for direct printing on Nylon and other synthetic fabrics such as polyesters, cotton and cotton/polyester blends. These inks provide excellent adhesion, flexibility and coverage.

How can you use it?
Printing: Almost all types of stencil materials can be used, except solvent-fixed films.
Mesh: 34 – 62T mesh is recommended for maximum coverage. We recommend 77T-110T mesh for printing fine details.
Coverage: Approximately 15 m2/kg, when using 43T mesh.
Drying: Air dry in 40-60 minutes, depending on the ambient temperature. At 100 ºC it dries in 2-3 minutes.
Mixing: When using these paints with a catalyst, we recommend the following mixing ratios:
Ink 9 parts (by weight)
Catalyst 1 part (by weight)

After mixing, its shelf life ("pot life") is about 8 hours, depending on the temperature.
Attention!
Too much catalyst may result in longer drying times and a sticky surface.
Certain materials and water-repellent surfaces are treated with chemicals that may affect the adhesion of inks, so a test is recommended before serial production.

Thinner R 102
Gel Retarder R 160 or Sebolith Gelretarder 070
Retarder R 187
Flexibility:
For maximum flexibility, M 233 Nylon Bag Flexibility Additive can be added to the ink mixed with the catalyst in the following ratio:
Catalyzed Nylon Bag ink 100 parts (by weight)
Flexibility Additive 10 parts (by weight)
Resistance: For maximum resistance, it is recommended to print with catalyzed inks, as this results in very good washing resistance, up to 60 °C, - except for the optionally available fluorescent colors. The resistance properties always depend on the print carrier textile, so pre-testing is recommended. The catalyzed ink also shows good resistance to dry cleaning. The washing resistance of the ink-layer without catalyst is 40 °C.
