Description
You can often find the solutions of glitter glare on invitation cards, postcards and book covers. These are used for so-called "surface refinement".
How it works?
Usually 5-10% glitter powder is mixed into a UV-curing varnish, similar to Braille varnish. These glitter powders are available in different colors and particle sizes. Then printed as a shape on specific parts of the surface, giving it a special appearance.
Tips
The thickness of the layer is important! So the varnish surrounds and does not allow the particles to rub off. Also important to use a suitably rare 21-27 # mesh, so that the particles of 50, 100, 200 microns can be printable and reach the surface.
