Embossing prints and business cards

Description

For embossed prints, business cards, invitations. And also for further applications, where the ink layer must noticeably embossed from the surface of the paper or cardboard.

The recommended GLOSS ENAMEL (GE) series includes high-gloss, oxidation-drying inks. Traditionally, it is mainly used for embossed prints for business cards and invitations, on paper and cardboard surfaces. During its long drying time of 8 to 12 hours, it embossing out of the surface by reacting with the oxygen in the air.

GLOSS ENAMEL (GE) inks show good adhesion to a wide range of substrates, have good resistance properties and excellent flexibility. They are suitable for drying in air and also in a drying tunnel (up to 120 ºC).

As a two-component ink, with the addition of a hardener, they also show good results for glass surfaces and pre-treated metals. – In this case, it is important that as much ink is mixed with the NB Catalyst hardener as is used within the approximately 8-hour "pot time".

How can you use it?

Printing: All emulsions can be used. Generally 62 - 71 #, for finer works 90 - 120 # mesh is recommended.

Dilution: 5-15% R-55 thinner.

Drying: Although the print - depending on the thickness of the ink film, dry to the touch approx. after 2 hours, at least 8 to 12 hours are required for complete drying. When printing metal surfaces, it may take up to 48 hours to reach the maximum hardness of the ink layer. The process can be accelerated by using a drying tunnel, where it dries in 10 to 15 minutes at a temperature of 80 to 120 ºC.

Substrates: Paper, cardboard, glass, pre-treated metals and many plastics, e.g. CAB, AB, acrylic, cellulose acetate, polystyrene, polycarbonate and melamine. Gloss Enamel inks show good adhesion on transfer papers, e.g. Masterdecal, Duplex and Simplex, so they can also be used for water-transfer prints.
